English Premier League giants Manchester United are said to be in talks with Portuguese outfit, FC Porto over a deal for Brazilian full-back Alex Telles.

United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has stated his desire to strengthen his options on the left and feels the 27-year-old would be a useful addition.

Meanwhile, according to Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano, United have already reaches personal agreement with the player.

With the indication of interest in the former Galatasaray defender, Solskjaer is obviously not satisfied with Luke Shaw and youngster Brandon Williams.

Porto want £18 million for Telles, who has one year left on his contract and could be signed without a fee on a pre-contract in January.

Telles, who has one cap for Brazil, has scored 21 goals in 127 games for Porto since joining from the Turkish giants in 2016.

The Red Devils have garnered three points from their opening two matches of the 2020/2021 league season, having lost 1-3 to Crystal Palace and narrowly winning 3-2 against Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday.
